HB 2484 Hearing

LEGISLATIVE ALERT!!!!

A hearing has been scheduled before the House Land Use Committee on our HB 2484 to reform ORS-195 (require "double majority" interpretation of section 205(5)):

DATE: Feb. 16 (Wednesday this week)
TIME: 1:30 PM
LOCATION: State Capitol, Room 50

There is currently only one other bill on the schedule for this hearing - and it's first. So there is a good chance a hearing on 2484 will actually happen.

HERE'S WHERE THE RUBBER MEETS THE ROAD, FOLKS! This will be the most important hearing of the session for us.

IF YOU GO:

1. Bring 25 copies of your testimony
2. Bring LOTS of quarters to feed the parking meters. Parking is hard to find around the capitol.

Bear in mind that hearings are rescheduled and canceled all the time, and our opposition will try to do th at here. You should contact the administrative assistant, Lindsay Luckey at 503-986-1473 the day of the hearing to make sure it's still on.

IF YOU DON'T GO:

At least get your testimony in to the committee per our last update (on the OCVA website under "alerts," Feb. 9.) ANYONE INTERESTED IN CHANGING ORS 195 NEEDS TO SPEAK UP NOW!!!!

Jerry
